Wow, it’s already March 2nd. It seems like New Years was just yesterday, and I really don’t know where the time has gone! My first thoughts were to say that I haven’t accomplished anything since beginning of the year, which would really not be the truth. I’ve actually done quite a bit, it’s just kind of over shadowed by the things that I haven’t done yet. I’m still jobless, although not for a lack of trying. I haven’t made any real weight loss progress either, which is changing, starting today.
Starting today, I’m going to be kicking myself full force into the tracking of calories and the doing of exercise. I will not consume more than 1700 calories a day, and I will exercise at least 4 times a week. I’m going to be using www.livestrong.com to help me track my calories and exercise, it’s really a fabulous resource for someone trying to lose weight. Using their calorie goal calculator, I determined that by eating about 1700 calories a day ( the exact number is 1673) I can lose 2.5 pounds a week, and that’s not even including the weight I will lose from exercising.
My mid-term goal is to weigh 175 pounds by the 15th of April. Short term, I would like to have lost 7 pounds by my birthday. That’s 3.5 pounds a week, which is very doable! If I can achieve that, that leaves me a month to lose the other five pounds required to reach my mid-term goal. My long term goal is to be happy with how I look in a bathing suit, so my hubby can teach me how to swim without me being so worried about if everything is covered up! I’m not going to put a weight goal on that, because I’m not sure what it will be, but I’ll know when I see it, and I expect you all to hold me accountable by making sure I blog my food and exercise whenever I do it!
I’ve also decided to not make my blog so…..I don’t know the word I’m really looking for, but I can suffice it to say that’s it’s a little boring. So I’m going full out with my blogging! I’m going to blog everything you people may find yourselves interested in , from what I’m learning at church, what I’m making for my online store, what I’m cooking for dinner, to if I’m staying on track with my lifestyle change. (remember, the weight loss thing that I’m expecting you all to hold me accountable for?)
