If you haven’t noticed I renamed the blog, so that it more properly reflects its subject and content.
So, it’s day 7 of Choosing to Change, and I have been doing very well, if I may say so myself! Fasting (The Daniel Fast) seems to get a little better(easier) with every passing day. I am NOT going to tell the lie that this past week has been totally without temptation, but through grace of God and the diligence of my husband I have been able to make it through with no slip ups! (YAAAAAAAAY!)
On Monday, I invited a fashionista friend over to have a look in my closet, just as a second opinion on what I could do to improve my wardrobe (I’m a bit on the more conservative side of these things.) She suggested that I get a few more casual items, and definitely add some major color to my wardrobe for spring. We hit several different) places, but the hot spots ended up being Old Navy, where I got several vividly colored tees that I can dress up or down with layering, Target, where I found a pair of adorable taupe flats that I can wear with just about anything, and Hancock’s Fabrics, where I got fabric to make myself two of those adorable spring scarves that are making their way into the fashion scene. For me, this spring is going to be about taking chances, which means that I’ll be wearing more shorts and skirts (of an appropriate length of course.) The great thing is that I’ll be wearing my very own designs, so be on the lookout!
I’ve made a few makeup purchases over the last few days. My Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse for foundation, Covergirl Volume Express Mascara (actually gifted to me by my sister!) Some eye shadows from Luxe Minerals, and eyeliner from Cherry Culture. I can’t wait for my orders to come in! I’m REALLY excited about my eye shadows, I can’t wait to try them out!
Also, you only have today and tomorrow left to enter the giveaway! I will choose the winners Friday morning! Check out the bottom of the blog posts to enter! Also, there’s a gallery page from my store at the bottom of the blog!
