*side eye* It took long enough, lol.
I’ve been natural since February of this year, did my big chop in May. Since then, my hair has been a daily struggle for me! I’ve been fighting back and forth with the idea of just relaxing it, and going natural again in a year, without doing the big chop, but instead transitioning into my kinks and coils.
My wonderful husband (who absolutely hated my hair at first, he didnt like the super-super short thing.) talked me down from that ledge, and as of today, I am still natural!
So, with my last allowance (Our $20 apiece bi-weekly whatever we wanna do with it money), I found myself in Walmart. (I know, I know, but dude, im pregnant. I didnt feel like driving across town to get to Sally’s) My eyes landed on the cutest bottle of Herbal Esences! It was this lovely conditioner, so cutely named “None of Your Frizzness”
Now, I feel it only appropriate to let you all know that I totally hated Herbal Essences. Last month, after seing everyone raving over their results with the “Hello Hydration” conditioner, I of course went and got a bottle, but found myself dissapointed with the results. It did absolutely nothing for me. It actually left my hair dry, which is pretty counter-productive to the whole idea of hydration. But anywho, I was intrigued by the name, and by the claim that it would eliminate frizz, which for me, was a big obstacle in obtaining curl definition. So I bought it, along with Cantu’s Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream, which leaves my hair incredibly soft, moisturized, and generally happy.
I am SO happy with my choice to give Herbal Essences another chance. These pictures arent the best, but believe me when I say that “None of Your Frizzness” gave me beautiful curl definition! Like…I’ve never seen my curls look so springy and smooth! I would definitely recommend trying it out, especially since it only costs $4!
