Sooo, it’s week 3 check-in time! This past week, I finally dragged myself out to the track to do some running. I love running, because you shed calories like mad, in a relatively short period of time. I went on Wednesday and Friday, to the indoor track. I think I may have overdone it a little that first day, because the next day I was extremely sore. By the time Friday came around, my muscles were stiff and aching, so it took me a while to warm up to even be able to jog. I did it though, and burned about 900+ calories between the two workouts. (I use a heartrate monitor that straps to my chest to determine calorie burn. I trust it more than any online calculator,since it’s going by what MY body is actually doing.)
I have not done so well with my calories this week. My emotions were kind of up and down, and I am very much an emotional eater, so ehh. Even so, I did lose another lb (almost) and another .5 inch off of my waist. Im pretty amazed at the difference in my waist. I mean, there hasn’t been any real weight loss, but I’ve somehow gotten 2 inches off of my waist. I wonder if I was just bloated or something?
In other news, as my tummy gets smaller, I’ve been noticing something. I was under the (happy) assumption that the stretch marks that developed on my bump when I was pregnant had gone away. Turns out, they were still there, just light because they were still being… well…stretched. As I lose, they are gaining more and more definition, which makes me angry. I am prone to stretch marks anyway, and already had them on my sides, but my tummy, thankfully, had always been clear. But no more. Thanks Izzy, lol.
