Yeah, so all that energy, and drive from last week? That was a fail, on both my exercise goal, and my calorie goal. A big part of the issue is…well, I want to say laziness, but that’s not the case, because I’m doing productive things. Just not working out like I should. The goal was to burn 2000 calories. I burned about 1200 of that. At least I burned “some” but 2000 calories was totally attainable, and I just DIDN’T, so I can’t feel satisfied with 1200. And those calories? Pizza on Friday, Chinese on Saturday, and a java chiller from sonic on Sunday. Yeah. So um…anyway!
This week, there is a new goal. No certain amount of calories, burned, or lost. The goal is travel 15 miles, on foot this week, in a series of 5k’s. Walking, jogging, or running. Doesn’t matter, as long as I do it! I’ve started off on a good note, since I’ve already done the first 5k of the week. At a consistent job-run. No walking! Go me! I completed it in 39 minutes, which is about 13 mins/mile, which is beyond anything I thought I could do! When I walk, I can barely do a 17 minute mile. I have a hard time keeping a fast pace while walking. So…as I see now, any future trips to the track will be strictly jogging/running. I like seeing those numbers a lot better than the walking numbers!
