As moms….well, not even just as moms, really, but as women, so often I think we get so caught up in the care of others (significant other, kids, family, etc) that we start to neglect ourselves. The first thing that usually goes out of the window? Eating well. Followed closely by exercise.
I’m ready to change that. And im not alone! So together with several friends (RosesDaughter, 3Carrigans, JoonLuv630) I am embarking on a challenge, not just to lose weight, but to take care of my body, love myself, and become a healthier me. Sure, we want to lose weight, but it’s not just about dropping a few pounds. It’s about changing our lives for the better. We would LOVE for you to join us! Having a support system behind you, as well as having friends to hold you accountable, can be an invaluable resource on your journey!
To join the “Cut The Fluff” Challenge, you will just need to write an introductory post that includes the following information:
- Your name (or alias)
- How much weight you would like to lose (You don’t HAVE to share this if you’re not comfortable doing so)
- Why you want to lose the weight
Once your introduction post is created, come back and link up with us! We will be starting on Monday, September 27th, but feel free to join us at any time!
Every Monday, we will present 2 challenges, one related to fitness, the other related to nutrition. Non of the challenges will be too rigid, or inflexible. In fact, they will be presented more as tips, or guidelines, than rules to follow.
I will do my best to provide useful resources and valuable information to help you as you go forward. Every Monday, we will write a check-in post on our individual blogs to share our successes, and get the motivation to move past our failures.
Im going to post up now, to allow time for the writing on intro posts! I’m going to make a page here on my blog with a list of everyone who joins us, to link to their blog, so that everyone can mingle and meet!
Good luck ladies, and I look forward to cutting the fluff with all of you! (we’ll be tweeting throughout the journey with the hashtag #CutTheFluff)
