  1. Girl! Your hair is tooooo cute!! I am so jealous because right now because just YESTERDAY, I was thinking I wanted long silky hair……….(shaking my head in shame…)

Christina you have THEE cutest little accent! and I love your hair, IT looks nice like that. And you know natural doesn’t mean you can’t straighten your hair whenever you want. It just means no chemicals that can harm your hair. So rock your hair long and straight! It looks awesome on you! You kinda make me want to straighten mine right now lol. I’m rocking a wet set though and it’s raining in cali so this will have to do.

Looks great. I know what you mean about playing with your hair. My has grown over the past few month and all I want to do is run my fingers through it and swing it.

  4. The video is too funny and I love your hair like that! Very nice!

you have the right to be bubbly about it! don’t apologize! i’m literally going through the same thing right now with transitioning to natural and was just talking to a friend about it. i’m seriously missing my long straight hair especially as fall is upon us. my husband misses it too. can you tell me exactly what weave process it was (i have clip-ins) and how long it will last? i agree that i definitely want to stay away from the creamy crack though! i’m seriously going to show this to my husband when he gets home so i can get the same thing! thank you for the inspiration and you may see a similar blog post from me soon ;-) (p.s. how did izzy react?)

I glued mine in, just because it takes less time, and I don’t plan to keep it in long. I would recommend a sew-in weave though! Most stylists can have you in and out in under 3 hours if they don’t have to wash/dry your hair. And make sure they use silk thread, the cotton thread can cut and damage your hair!

Izzy doesnt seem to have noticed yet, lol, I guess because it’s not as “big” as the fro was!

Your hair looks great! Glad you’re enjoying it!

I love it!! Don’t worry, you will go back. I have micro braids in now and that has been a life saver during this pregnancy. When I took the braids out in Sept…omg…I had so much growth with my natural hair. I fell in love with it all over again. Of course I went back to the salon to get more braids because I am not trying to do my hair right now. LOL. Giving your natural hair a rest is always a good thing!!

  9. don’t feel bad for indulging in what makes you feel good! i’ve been natural for 2.5 years and had my locs for a little over a year now, and i still catch myself looking at other women with their long silky hair! it’s different now than it was in the beginning though, because now i look with much less longing in my eyes, and more of a “well that’s pretty, but i love what i’ve got going” kind of attitude…even though i usually threaten to cut the locs and start all over at least twice a month when i go too long without retwisting them lol.

  10. Fab..love it!!! My hair is also natural but I sure can work wonders with a straightening comb and a flat iron to get it straight. Now that it is cooling off I will most likely start wearing it straight again.

Your hair looks great like that! No matter how much you like it that way, it must be cool to have the flexibility to be short and sassy too.
