So, today I started a new Jillian Michaels workout, No More Trouble Zones. I read that it was a very similar to workout to 30 Day Shred, in that it was a circuit workout. In fact, I only chose this one because it was a longer workout of about 55 minutes, as opposed to 30 Day Shred’s 30 minute workouts. I wanted something longer, because you of course burn more calories.
This workout is no joke. I’m already in pain. The “disappointment” in the title of this post has nothing to do with the program. I think it’s excellent. I burned 604 calories, 78 grams of fat. Took my heart rate up to 204, with an average of 142. And I didnt even finished. I got interrupted by baby duty!
The disappointment is in realizing the limitations on my body. There were moves in the workout that I just physically could not do. That’s an awful feeling. It’s like, I’m putting every piece of strength I have into doing this plank, but I just can’t keep myself up longer than 20-30secs. Not only that, but I was supposed to be doing some type of leg twist at the same time. My body is so weak, and it’s the most frustrating feeling for your mind to be willing to something, but your body isn’t physically able.
I know that it will take time to build my strength, and I’m willing to devote that time. It’s just a little disheartening. *sigh*
