Hey guys, just a quick post to start getting back into the swing of things! On Mothers Day Weekend, Byron and I did a mini-overhaul of our front yard, to add some curb appeal to our little house! We still have more plants that we plan to add, but we really didnt plan to landscape up front just yet, so we’re giving ourselves time to decide what we really want. Our neighbors across the street were nice enough to share some shrubs with us (they were landscaping also, and bought too many, so #win!) and we had to get them in the ground before they died! For the stone edger, we went to our local stone yard and picked out those (heavy!!) rocks ourselves, each and every one. We had been looking at the edging materials available at Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, etc, and the prices were a little on the high end, for even the plain materials. For stone like we ended up going with? $3-$4 a foot. And we needed 30 feet. Imagine me shaking my head!
At the stone yard, we ended up paying $27 dollars for ALL of the beautiful stone that we left with. They priced theirs per lb, and I cant remember how much it was per lb, but still. $27. #win! Over all, we spent less than $300 for shutters, mulch, the stone, weed barrier, rubber edging material, a shovel, a rake, and some miracle grow for the garden!
Look at the difference it makes! We’re not the “plain” house in the neighborhood anymore!
