Monday Randoms!

I am exactly (or…..approximately) 21 weeks pregnant today!

I’m already at the halfway point, and even though those first months were HELLISH, I’m already starting to forget them.  It seems like it was a really long time ago, instead of just a few weeks.  Glad I blogged about it, so that when we start thinking about more babies, I can look back on this and say “Ummm….yeah….about this whole 3rd pregnancy thing..”

But in all seriousness, we would like a son, and since we found out last last Thursday that the little bean currently cooking is another girl (named Zoe!) we’ll give it a 3rd go in about 5 years or so, after I’ve finished my degree, and we’ve purchased a larger home.  Of course, that puts me over my “no babies after 30″ threshold, but ah well.  I realize that meeting those other goals is more important to me than an arbitrary age limit, especially when I still have at least 15 more years of low-risk fertility ahead of me.

When I upgraded my phone last month (or the month before.  Something like that), I got the exact same phone I already had.  I LOVED the phone, but due to several Izzy-related incidents, it would no longer accept a charger.  So…why does the old one work better than the new one?  I’ll just use the new one as a battery charger. *shrug*

I’ve been back to relaxed hair for about 2 weeks now, and I keep waiting to regret it…..it hasn’t happened.  It takes me soooo much less work to deal with my hair in the mornings!  It’s still curly enough that I can wear it in a fro if I need to wash and go, but I can also wrap it flat, tie it down overnight, and have an easy straight style in the mornings too. I’m loving it.

Izzy peed in the potty on Saturday!  Then, Byron and I proceeded to do several different types of touch down dances, dougies, etc.  Izzy was NOT amused.  She was actually pretty freaked out by it, lol. so, next time, we won’t be so…..exuberant, lol!

Now that I’ve been taking her to the library and park more consistently, the other moms are becoming more friendly, since apparently I won’t just go away O_O lmbo.  Oh, and a 6 year old has one more time to come in the toddler area thinking they run things, pushing 2-3 year olds down, etc, before I wreck shop.  Everybody else (moms) act like they’re afraid to say something, I’m not.  I’ll make you show me where your mama is, and tell her the next you run in pushing/hitting small kids, I’m gonna push HER down, so she can see how it feels.  I bet she gets your little bullying tail in line. (this really pisses me off, if you can’t tell.)

Izzy is SUPER vocal.  It didn’t occur to me that her vocabulary was anything out of the ordinary for her age, but when I see her in relation to other kids, she’s talking much more like the 4 year olds than the the other 2 year olds.

Ummmm that’s all my randomness for now, cause I’ve been staring blankly at this post for about an hour, so I’m just gonna go ahead and publish.  Happy Monday!

Happy 21 Weeks! So glad that you are feeling better. Love the name Zoe! I totally forgot you and I are having similar issues with the other moms at the library.

I posted about it on the blog last week. I’ve decided that I’m not going to go away either. The kids enjoy it and it gets me out of the house. They’ll get used to me soon enough!

And I completely feel you about taking a stand against those 6 year old bullies. They know better and their parents should be watching them instead of letting them run wild.

Yay! Hey Zoe! Your blog auntie Krissy is still shooting middle names off at your mama! lol One just might stick

30 isn’t old to have babies. DO what you gotta do. I gave myself a time frame too. It’s have one more before im 35. I have 4 more years. I don’t think I’ll go past that marker though.

I told someone i can’t stand strangers kids around my little kid. They are so rude and handsy and I almost had to snatch a kid up on friday for pushing Jas. I don’t play that.

Jas always loved when she got praised for using the potty. It made her wanna go more. lol

Jas seems to talk better than a lot of bigger kids too. Its not strange to me considering how long shes been yapping lol

Lookin good! How fun to have 2 little girls and I totally feel you on the hair maintenance issue. It’s exactly why I had to stop transitioning. With a newborn it was too much to handle styling my hair plus taking care of her. Look forward to trying it again post-little ones!
