So, this past weekend wasn’t too busy for us. I’m cherishing the lazy days now, because soon enough, being well-rested and laying around won’t be a possibility around here! Today marks 31 weeks
On Saturday, we attended a beautiful wedding of one of Byron’s frat brothers (Alpha Phi Alpha) at the Clinton Library in Little Rock. It was a really beautiful venue, one that we actually considered for our own wedding, but it was already booked for the date we needed
We did go take pics in front of it though, in the fountain, which we were NOT supposed to be in, lol!
Izzy had a little um….hair disaster while I was trying to get her ready. I was trying to trim her ends, and ending up cutting more than I intended. She ended up with a little fro-puff thingy, which was super cute (in my opinion). I don’t know she refuses to cooperate for pictures. This middle pic is the one where I asked her to “pose!” You see what she came up with, lmbo! Is she posing for a battle sculpture or something?
Last week, I instagrammed (totally not a word) myself in several dress options while at the store, trying to find something to wear to this wedding, since I am FAST running out of (dressy) things that fit. I chose this dress because I think it will still be cute when I’m not pregnant anymore (may have to adjust the fit) and it’s basic enough that I can dress it up with different colors, accessories, etc. Sadly, the only shoes I can still fit (feet swelling, ugh) were my simply black pumps, and I STILL had those off by the time we left the reception!
Yes, my eyes are closed in this pic, but it’s still a cute pic, so I’m rolling with it, lol! Deal! They were taking too long to serve the food at the reception, and then of course the (HUGE) wedding party got to eat first, so Byron and I left, and went to Gaucho de Brazil, which is a Brazilian grill, where they put a bunch of sides on your table, and then walk around with HUGE skewers of like…..every meat imaginable and bring it to your table. Byron and Izzy were in heaven, lmbo. I enjoyed it too, but I honestly ate more salad and sides than anything else. Oh, and I brought home this huge slice of chocolate cake:
We didnt get home until late, and Izzy was HYPE (She sang “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” the entire 40 minute car ride home O_O) so we didn’t get to bed until even LATER. So…..we attended bedside baptist the next morning. After doing some cleaning, we headed out to Home Depot for a few last supplies, and then……
Finished Izzy’s bed! (Almost, that is! Still needs several coats of white paint, and a few decorative trim pieces)
(See how excited see is, lol!)
And that was my weekend! How was yours?

sounds like a good one!
I love her poses, you’re so right, it’s like she’s battle ready. Very cute though. Glad you had a good time at the wedding.
