Oh, October

So here we are….the month I’ve been looking forward to basically all year. Zoe will be born this month!  She’s due in 28 days, to be exact.  And I still haven;t done anything about a hospital bag.  I think I had it packed at 30 weeks with Izzy, lol.  Believe it or not, I still have a few projects I would like to do before Zoe arrives.  I’ve been putting them off in favor of making jewelry and bows for my etsy shop! (Which, by the way, I’m offering 25% off with code FALL2012!) Maybe I’ll actually get around to them before she gets here.

Izzy has been doing extremely well with her potty training!  She is in panties most of the time now, with the exception of bedtimes and when we’re out and about.  The trick seemed to be just putting her in panties, and not really worrying about pee in my carpet.  I just cleaned up the accidents as well as I could, because we’ll be replacing the carpets with hardwoods soon enough anyway.  She also didn’t appreciate being stripped of her “big girl” title by Byron, so she put in extra effort. As she says “I NOT A BABY, I A BIG GIRL”.  And she is totally a potty rockstar.  Minimal accidents now, and she’s so proud.  She still gets a sticker to put on her potty and a small treat (normally a small cookie, or a few gummy bears) for every success, and she totally loves that.  We bought her a potty seat for the big toilet (because dumping and cleaning poop from a potty is just…disgusting.  Way more than changing a diaper for some reason) and she loves using that too!  It was $7 at TJ Maxx for a Dora one.

I’m totally ready to meet my new baby, and this time is really flying by! Before we know it, I’ll be sharing pictures of her and her big sister! What are you looking forward to this month?

Glad that Izzy is doing well with her potty training! I skipped the actual potty and got Moo one of those Dora toilet seats too. I just couldn’t be bending over to empty a potty with the big belly I had while I was pregnant with JJ.

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost time for Baby Zoe to get here. Wow, time went by fast, but I know that you all are just going to adore her when she gets here. This month I’m looking for finishing up the fall decorations on the outside and passing out candy for Halloween with the kids!

  2. YAY for potty training!! Pookah seems to be getting it. We’ve started wearing the underwear even when we go out! We’re in pull ups at night, but I’m about to try out the underwear then too. *fingers crossed*
I can’t believe it’s already time for you to have your baby! Time flies!

Yay for potty training! That must be a huge relief since you’ll have to deal with enough diapers with the new little one. My little one pees in the potty, but doesn’t poop yet. He refuses. I can’t believe it’s almost time to meet Zoe! Yes, time flies! I bet you’re thinking, time couldn’t fly fast enough LOL since you’re the one who had to be pregnant for all these months! :) Can’t wait to see pics!

Didn’t this pregnancy go really fast? Maybe because you seemed to keep so busy. I love Zoe’s room! Want it for myself :)

    Get that bag packed!

Can’t believe it’s almost time! My due date isn’t officially until early November, but something is nagging me and telling me it’s going to happen this month…eh we’ll see. Still haven’t finished preparing everything.

Glad that you finally made it to end of the pregnancy, and you’re looking forward to meeting Zoe.

Izzy’s potty training reminds me some of the incidents with my two children. It was really a struggle to train them at last. Thanks for bringing back that memory :-)

A warm welcome for Zoe :-)
