Those are the words my OB used at my appointment yesterday. Today makes 37w4d of this pregnancy for me. Of course we all want Zoe to bake as long as she needs to, but honestly? I’m ready when she is. And knowing that she’s full term, I would honestly prefer that it happens sooner than later. Assuming, of course, that she’ll be ready when it happens.
Yesterday, at my weekly visit, we found out that I was “not quite” 3cm dilated, which doesn’t really mean anything, since labor will happen when it happens, but my OB has a “feeling” that I won’t make it to my due date at the end of the month. That also means nothing. But, I’ve always had that same feeling. So who knows?
I’m certainly not “tired enough” of being pregnant to drink castor oil, or weird teas like some of the women in my birth club on Baby Center. I’m certainly ready to love on baby Zoe, but I’m only 18 days away from my due date. My OB is comfortable letting me go to 41 weeks. So, at most, I have 25-26 days before I meet this little lady. I can wait, you know? BUT OMG I DON’T WANT TO, I WANT MY BABY NOW, RIGHT NOW DAMMIT, NOW. O_O.
Anyway. O_O. In the meantime, I have a few craft projects I can complete. Taking Izzy to the library, park, and playgroup. Stocking my etsy shop with new products. I’ll probably try to do more walking, since that helps baby get into position for labor. And try not to go crazy with anticipation in the meantime. I actually lost part of my mucus plug Wednesday morning. you know what my dream killing doctor said? That it could freaking just regenerate or something. I already knew that from reading, but still, dammit.
Patience, patience, I know. I KNOW.

Lol! It’s your drs job to be the dream killer! Me too: there is a new initiative out to keep babies in until at least 39 weeks. Good for baby, sad for Mommy’s. but if you just go into labor…..POWER WALK!!!
But the next 25 days will go by so quickly you’ll wonder why you were in such a hurry!
*major ass side eye* lmbooo. We all know those days are gonna drag, lmbo!
yea its a waiting game for sure but it’ll be over before you know it. I don’t think you’ll make it to the due date but I’ve been telling you that for weeks now. Will see what plans Zoe has tho. This is her show.
Yup, it’s a waiting game for sure. Zoe will be out before you know it, she’ll come out before you know it.

Well, here’s to hoping that Baby Zoe will make a safe and healthy arrival! I always passed my mucus plugs on the same days I went into labor. Moo came two days before her due date and JJ was three weeks early. I had just crossed the 37 week mark when he decided to come out the oven.
Hang in there!

We have the same due date and I’m ready now. The aches and pains are a killer. Also seeing everything set up is killing me. She is so relaxed in there.
I am so ready to see baby Zoe. She has three lovely family members ready for her.
…..
then it’s time for Izzy and Zoe’s little brother.
