So, you guys know that I got my official acceptance letter from the University, right? Well, turns out, I have to take the COMPASS test, which is basically the ACT/SAT. I don’t want to. But I have to, because it’s mandatory for non-traditional students. I wonder if I can match my previous score? It allowed me to skip some classes, and if I can still do that, then…
I can’t believe it’s already the weekend again. This week has flown by, which is surprising, because I’ve been without my car, and therefore stuck at home much more than I normally would have been. I was supposed to get it back today, but when we went to go pick up, guess what? Check engine light BACK on before we can even pull out of the parking lot, after a $1400 bill. Suffice it to say that nobody left that encounter happy.
I ordered ribbon last week to fulfill some orders, as well as create the custom prizes for the giveaway, and OMG so slow! I’m never ordering from either vendor again.
Little Zoe is grabbing and holding and chewing with such purpose now! We’re going to go ahead and get her ears pierced this weekend, before she gets any better at it, because the whole point in getting them done as a baby (to me) is that they don’t bother them! I had planned to get them done right at 16 weeks, which is when Izzy got hers, but I was waiting for her to get her second round of shots, which ended up being scheduled later than i would have liked, but oh well. We’re actually taking her to that appointment tomorrow.
Sunday was an incredibly busy day. We rushed out of the house that morning to go to a Baptism, then left there and went to eat at Golden Corral, which I had never been to, but rather enjoyed, then straight to the store do some shopping for the kids. From there, over to the bowling alley with the friends from the Baptism, and then home, with very tired kids. I think we all passed out once we got home!
The goal for the kids was to spend $100 ($50/each) since this was just going to be a little refresher. But Byron was with me. So it turned into almost 2. But I’m supposedly the spender. Mmmm hmm. They say that little girls will bring it out of you, lol! Here’s the video about what I got:
I’ve been incredibly busy with work lately. To the point that I kinda find myself wanting to stop. Often! But, if I want to meet my goals, I don’t have that luxury. There’s tuition to pay, student loans to pay off, retirement accounts to fund, not to mention a necessary emergency fund, plus day to day expenses. And, we like to be able to have at least a little money for each of us to spend as we want to, on whatever. (Mine is always spent on food and hair, lmbo! What a combo, huh?) It’s definitely a grind, and seriously stressful sometimes most of the time. But I know it’s temporary. And I know it’s worth it.
This is long enough, lol. If you got this far, thanks for reading! If you skipped ahead, still, thanks for reading!
Have a great day!
OH! The site got a bit of a makeover for the upcoming spring, if you want to check it out!
