We’re going on a (small) vacation! In July, we’ll be visiting Atlanta for a few days, and I’m quite excited! We’re planning a day at Stone Mountain, gonna take the girls to the Olympic Park fountain, the Imagine It! Museum, Legoland, the Aquarium, and the Coca Cola factory. So, super-touristy things, but hey, we’re tourists, lol! Don’t laugh at us, but we are SO SUPER EXTRA OMG excited that ……there’s an IKEA in Atlanta. lmbo! We don’t have one ANYWHERE near us, and we always see things we love on the commercials/website, so we will definitely go there!
Also, I would love to meet some of you who live in the Atlanta area! If you would be interested in meeting up, just email me at email@example.com or use my contact form, and I’ll let you know the dates that we’ll be there!
If you have any suggestions on things to do/see, and ESPECIALLY places to eat, please comment below! Especially places to eat. Did I say that already? Oh. Ok. Well, ESPECIALLY PLACES TO EAT.
We still have SOOOO many DIY projects we want to do around our house. Every time we finish we big one, we always say we’re gonna be done for a while, but we always come right back to that list. I have a few small ones that I’m gonna do soon, and I think that I’ll do detailed posts about them. I feel like I’ve been missing out on some great blog content by not posting about these projects, since people (myself included) LOVE a good DIY!
Zoe is 8 months old today! She is cruising around like a pro, and I’ve seen her try to balance on her own a couple of times. I think she’ll be walking in the next month or two. I’m not in any hurry.
She has been a little teething maniac lately, but still no tooth. I AM in a hurry for that, because she doesn’t seem pleased at all.
Izzy’s hair seems to be growing well after the flat-ironing disaster a few months ago. She has a TON of new growth (her hair is still all curly, but there is a noticeable difference in the curl pattern of her new growth), and I’ve been slowly trimming away the damaged ends. At this point, she’s about half and half. Byron thinks I’m crazy, because it doesn’t really appear damaged, but I want her all at one texture, and while she’s little and doesn’t really care about her hair length is the best time to do it.
I’m trying to lose weight again. Surprise, surprise. Only this time….I think it might be actually sticking! I’ve noticed myself making excellent food intake decisions, without even a second thought! I think this, when I stepped on that scale and saw 216…..my brain was like “OH HELL NAWL” so it actually got on board. I’m also doing it with a friend this time, one who I KNOW will have no problem holding me accountable and heckling me if I’m not doing what I should. So there’s that.
Anyway. What’s going on in your neck of the woods?!
