“So you don’t understand the meaning of the word discreet? Your eager tail is gonna get us caught.” Cameron kept her voice low, being careful not to draw any unnecessary attention. She was glad that the gorgeous summer weather allowed them to sit outside of the restaurant as they had lunch.  It gave her a good reason to keep her oversized sunglasses plastered to her face, camouflaging her eyes as she people-watched against the backdrop of busy midday traffic. Jai rolled her eyes, but stopped craning her neck, making it obvious that they were sneaking glances at the handsome trio of...

So we got a whole inch of snow this past weekend. A WHOLE INCH. So of course the kids wanted to go out and play in it. [gallery type="rectangular" columns="4" link="file" ids="3256,3253,3254,3255,3257,3258,3259,3260"] Zoe is silly: I'm getting mostly positive reviews on my books, and that makes me SO happy!  Big thank you to all of you who share my posts, retweet my links, tell your friends about, and of course, purchase my books. I appreciate it SO much! In related news, Love and Other Things is free right now on Amazon.  It's not on purpose, and it's a whole long story that I'on even...

So, let's start with full disclosure.  I received a copy of Threads of Desire, by K.M. Jackson to read in exchange for my honest review. With that said, I honestly would have purchased it anyway, because I read Kwana's last release, Bounce (which I purchased myself) and absolutely loved it!  Kwana has a very fluid writing style, with just enough detail to keep you hooked, but not so much that it bogs you down and becomes wordy.  She's very good at creating characters that feel real and relatable, so I was excited for the opportunity to read one of her books...

Hey Ladies!  I'm over at Kwana Writes giving a short interview about my second book, Strictly Professional!  Take some time to check it out, and check out the rest of her blog while you're there.  She has some great author interviews, writing information, and other general awesomeness. And did I mention she was a writer as well?  If you're looking for a good read, about the toll an affair can take on a marriage, and the aftermath, check out her novel Bounce! (I purchased Bounce with my own money, and thoroughly enjoyed it.) Also be on the lookout soon for...

So. I was tired of not saying what I wanted to say. I was tired on censoring myself, and being worried about people would think, etc etc. On social media, in general public, on my blog, in my books. It was crippling, really. So I made a decision. I'm an adult.  I have no interest in living my life by the standards set by others. So, henceforth, I am: (I didn't make this, but it's awesome.) Now, of course I'm always mindful of being kind to others, not purposely being an asshole, etc.  I'm not snarky by any means, that's just not me. A little...

Heeey! Do you need something to read? Well, you're in luck! Check out new release Indiscretion by Dahlia Savage! You can find it at: Amazon Barnes & Noble iTunes  Smashwords I'm also including the excerpt and cover for your viewing pleasure!  Do enjoy! Chapter One   I’m being watched. I can feel it. Relaxing at the hotel’s poolside, Elisa can’t shake the feeling that someone is looking directly at her. She peeks over her sunglasses and tries not to look paranoid as she investigates who may be checking her out. Everyone else around the pool is minding their own business. But still, she can feel it. She looks up from her lounge chair,...

It's been a while since we've done this, so yeah, let's do it! I've been having to take sleeping pills to get ANY amount of sleep at night, and it's totally frustrating and scary. I have an insane fear of becoming accidentally addicted to any kind of pill. This is related to the first point. I'm back on the weight loss wagon, again. Let's see how long the trip is this time. We were planning to vacation in California this year, but we changed out minds once we started realizing how stressful the planning was, and how freaking expensive it was getting.  It just...

It can't just be me. Really, it can't. I can't be the only one longing for the opportunity to just do nothing. To sit in my bed with the covers a pillows piled high, a nice long new book on the kindle, kids asleep, and husband on the xbox.  No homework, no required reading, no design deadlines, no writing goals, just nothing.  For hours.  Maybe even a whole day.  A whole damn day of nothing.  Wouldn't that be wonderful? But there's always something.  Another design project I could take on.  A chance to get ahead on class work.  A scene that just won't...
