The Trouble When… Momma Doesn’t Like You

The Trouble When… Momma Doesn’t Like You

(psst! last sample before release day, yay!!)

“Hey… just heard a very interesting story about you and my mother… are you okay? – Ty”

Shit. What did she tell him?

“Yeah… I’m okay. What did you hear?”

“Well, according to my mother, who came in about thirty minutes ago limping and moaning like she was a war victim, you verbally attacked her and threw a huge tantrum in the middle of a crowded store, and messed up her phone. – Ty”

I rolled my eyes, because really? I verbally attacked her? Threw a tantrum? Broke her phone?

“But then Austin called while I was on my break, and told me what actually happened. I’m so sorry you got ambushed like that. I’m going to talk to her about that shit, it’s not cool. – Ty”

“Are you gonna be with her tonight?”

“My mom? Nah. I didn’t even know she was in town until she popped up at the library. She loves showing up unannounced. – Ty”

“Can you come by?”

“You sure? I know how you are about your study time… -Ty”

“Yes, I’m sure. I need to see you.”

“I’ll be there as soon as I get off. – Ty”

“Thank you.”

When we’d finished making our plans, I tossed my phone on the bed and made myself get back into my schoolwork for about another hour. After that, I took a long shower, and put on a tank top and soft cotton shorts, with no underwear. If things went by my plan, I wouldn’t need them.

Ty knocked on my door at 11:14, and I flung myself into him as soon as I opened it. He chuckled, then pulled into his arms, squeezing me against his chest.

“You’re not mad at me?” I asked, wrapping my arms around his waist as he stepped inside, closing the door behind him.

“Mad at you? Not at all.”

He locked my door and then took me by the hand, leading me into my room.

“I’m off tomorrow, so I’m going to have a sit down with my mother about what happened today. I’ve been dealing with her craziness, and Jamila’s for so long that I can just ignore it. But, I can’t do that anymore, not when it’s affecting you. I’m gonna handle it, okay?”

I nodded. “Okay.”

Sitting down on my bed, Ty pulled me into his lap, with me straddling him. He grabbed my chin, drawing me into a kiss.

straddelap

Mmmm,” I moaned, draping my arms over his shoulders. “I’ve needed that today.”

“Just today?”

I grinned. “Every day. All day.”

“That’s more like it,” Ty said, playfully smacking my butt. A second later, he grinned, the stuck his fingers down my shirt, pulling out my pendant. “Did you put this on because I was coming by?”

I frowned. “What? No, I’ve worn it every day since you gave it to me.”

“Really?” he asked, eyes wide.

Yes, really. Why wouldn’t I? It’s special to me.”

He looked at me for a long moment, not exactly smiling, but his eyes were happy.

“What?” I prodded his shoulder. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

Ty shook his head, looking down for a second before he returned his gaze to mine. “Nothing. So, what’s up? You said you needed to see me tonight. What do you need?”

I smiled, then climbed down from his lap to stand in front of him.

“I need you to take off your clothes.”

Mama drama! Moms don’t play about their boys and do have the tendency to be overly protective and cross boundaries they shouldn’t. Can’t wait to find out what really went down and how well that sit down is going go over.
