You hit on so many key points in this vlog! I definitely agree that we have to be true to our processes. When we start letting and accepting the restrictions and expectations others push on us, that’s when we start to lose ourselves (IMO). And once you’ve loss yourself, you’ve pretty much loss your voice and just become a second rate version of someone else. That for me would be the worst thing that could happen to a writer or any other creative artist because art (be it books, music, painting, etc) is all about producing genuine works from heart and soul.

Glad you’re going to try VEDA/Vlogust!

everyone has to find their own way and what works for them!!

Excellent points identified. Everyone has to hone their identify and make their path memorable. You’re also right in saying that there’s no one algorithm with the creative process.

This!!! Girl, I needed to hear every single word you said, it was so on point. You’re ABSOLUTELY right about our process being ours alone and not letting what others say or think drag you down. I also agree that in most cases, people are not intentionally killing your dreams, but projecting their own fears, shortcomings, and insecurities onto you. On the other hand, I think that striving for this ideal of perfection can also hold people back, as well as trying to get into this mold that just doesn’t fit.
Instagram star, though? That made me lol

Guess who vlogged?! (Yeah, it was me. You totally weren’t expecting that.)

(sidenote: I say “ya know?” a lot. Yeah.)
