Shrimp w/Linguine + calorie count

Quick post of the recipe, since I don’t really feel well.  I ended up adding broccoli as a second thought! This image is from where I added the recipe to my sparkrecipes page, so that I could see the calorie count!  You can click it to view a larger version.  The next post will hopefully be put to

Linguine Pasta, 8oz
Shrimp, cooked, 14 oz
Mushrooms, fresh, 1 cup
Onions, 1 cup, chopped
Green Bell Peppers, 1 cup
Broccoli, 1 cup
Cheddar Cheese, .5 cup, shredded
Butter, salted, 2 tbsp

Directions: Put pasta on to boil

Melt Butter in Skillet.

Saute bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms in butter. Once your onions are golden brown, add shrimp and stir until shrimp is hot. Season with garlic, a little basil, salt, and pepper. Stir in cooked pasta, and then top with shredded cheese. Serve and enjoy!

And the full meal:

The garlic bread was 150 calories, plus about 80 calories for the salad, makes the meal about 585 calories, for my biggest meal of the day.  I’m pretty happy with that, but I’m going to lay off of the garlic bread, or at least this one, and look for a lower calorie option or eliminate it entirely.  My calorie count so far, for the day, is 1486, but Byron has some chocolate that he brought from the office, so I’m going to have a tiny piece of that, which will put me at about 1700 for the day, so I count it as a job well done!
