Sample Sunday - Too Much Money To Care
Unedited. Subject to change. Some time in Q1?
I smirked. “Nalani, come on – you should know that, baby.”
“Absolutely not.”
My smirk dropped. “Absolutely not what?” I asked.
“You calling me baby.”
“Get used to it, baby,” I told her, closing that distance again – this time planting a hand at the small of her back. Before she could snatch away, I’d grabbed her under the chin and leaned in to speak in her face. “Just because this marriage might be convenient, you need to understand something right now – it ain’t fake. I’m gonna parade you in public, fuck you in private, and otherwise ignore you, just like every other marriage.”
“If you really believe that – that’s the saddest thing I’ve ever heard,” she declared, not backing away. “Is that why you’re like this? Mommy and Daddy hated each other, and took it out on poor Ri-Ri?”
In an instant, my grip under her chin had shifted to her neck, pulling her even closer. “You don’t know shit about my parents, or me,” I warned, locking in on her gaze.
“You sure this is how you want to start this marriage? Domestic violence in a public place… baby?” she asked, her tone all but daring me not to let her go.
So I didn’t.
I gripped her tighter, eyes not wavering as I told her. “Nothing violent about it… baby.”
She didn’t seem surprised when I pressed my lips to hers – she pressed back, giving me clear aggression.
I had painfully fewer qualms than she did, though.
It was nothing to me to push my tongue into her mouth and drop my free hand to her ass for an overflowing handful – all in the public place she was so worried about. She realized, quick as fuck, that challenging me on something like public decency was a mistake.
I had too much money to care.
This time, I let her off easy – when she gently pushed at me, trying to put an end to it without making a scene, I granted her that, ending the kiss with a quick peck on her lips before I stepped back, beyond amused at her obvious blushing.
She ran her tongue over her ruined lipstick and just stared at me, chest heaving, clearly too stunned to have anything to say.
“I’ll see you at our meeting later?” I asked, and she quickly shook her head.
“No. Just the lawyers,” she answered, looking away.
“Fine. I’ll make sure our agreement from today is relayed.”
“Okay,” she nodded, still not looking at me.
I smirked, not even bothering to wipe her lipstick from my mouth as I walked away.
This was going to be fun.
